According to Jeff Pu, a tech research analyst at Haitong International, Apple is projected to commence mass production of the iPhone 15 series in August. The company aims to manufacture approximately 84 million units by the end of 2023, marking a 12% increase compared to the number of iPhone 14 devices produced during the same period last year.
In addition, Pu predicts that the starting price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be higher than that of the 14 Pro Max, which is currently priced at $1,099 in the US and €1,449/PKR445483.17 in Europe. The analyst states that the 15 Pro Max will feature exclusive functionalities not available on the 15 Pro model. It is anticipated that Apple will incorporate a periscope lens for the telephoto camera on the Max, allowing for extended optical zoom capabilities.
There have also been rumors indicating that the batteries of the entire iPhone 15 series will have larger capacities. However, this may result in slightly thicker devices. Apple has not yet announced an official launch date, but it is expected to occur in early September.

If you’ve been following the recent rumors, you may already be aware that one of the highly anticipated upgrades expected in the iPhone 15 Pro Max is a new main camera, potentially based on the Sony IMX903 sensor with a 1″ size. However, according to the latest insider information, the iPhone 15 will retain the same IMX803 sensor found in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, offering a 48MP Quad-Bayer camera with a 1/1.28″ size.
This news might be a disappointment for some, and the rumors continue to suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will also retain the M12 OLED panel technology used in the current generation. While the existing panel is excellent based on testing, users should not expect any significant improvements in terms of brightness levels or similar aspects.
That being said, the display size of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may not be exactly the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Current reports indicate that the new model will be slightly shorter, measuring 159.8 mm compared to 160.7 mm, and slightly narrower, measuring 76.7 mm instead of 77.6 mm.
In terms of anticipated new features on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there is much discussion about the inclusion of a periscope telephoto camera. This camera module is expected to be exclusive to the Pro Max variant and offers 6x optical magnification.
Additionally, it is expected that the iPhone 15 family, including the Pro Max, will come equipped with a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, there are speculations about the introduction of a new Apple A17 Bionic chip manufactured using a 3nm process, as well as the inclusion of 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

According to reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Twitter user @URedditor, who has a somewhat solid track record, it has been revealed that only the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, not the iPhone 15 Pro, will feature a periscope lens.
The source did not provide any further details about the periscope module and, when asked about changes in the camera layout of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, they mentioned that there were no significant changes.
Previous rumors suggested that the periscope unit on the iPhone 15 Pro Max would offer 6x magnification, which is three times the optical zoom compared to the 12MP telephoto camera on the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Additionally, it has been reported that Apple has partnered with LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics to source OIS (optical image stabilization) actuators for the periscope module, with LG Innotek supplying 70% and Jahwa Electronics providing the remaining 30%.
