In April 2023, Xiaomi introduced the Pad 6 Pro in China, and now they are gearing up for the release of the Pad 7 series. As per information from Digital Chat Station, the forthcoming flagship tablet is scheduled to be unveiled next month, featuring the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
According to the leaked details, there are indications of a Pad 7 model equipped with last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while the Pro variant is expected to boast the latest top-of-the-line Qualcomm SoC. This marks a significant improvement over the previous Pad 6 lineup, where both the Pro and Max variants were equipped with a one-year-old chip, and the standard version reviewed last summer featured an outdated Snapdragon 870.
Speculations suggest that the Pad 7 might come with 100W fast charging, and the Pad 7 Pro could feature an OLED panel—a first for Xiaomi tablets, which have traditionally been launched with LCD screens. While these features are promising, it would be even more exciting if Xiaomi decides to release the Pro version globally, as their top-tier tablets have been limited to the Chinese market until now.
