Xiaomi India has officially revealed that the Xiaomi 14 smartphone is scheduled for launch in India on March 7, bringing a wave of anticipation among Indian smartphone enthusiasts. The Xiaomi 14 is part of the trio within the series, which includes the Xiaomi 14 Pro and the highly awaited Ultra version. Notably, while the Pro version made their debut in China in October 2023, the global release of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is anticipated to be announced later this month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
It’s interesting to observe that Xiaomi India’s announcement explicitly focuses on the smartphone, omitting any mention of the China-exclusive Xiaomi 14 Pro or the upcoming flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra. This aligns with Xiaomi’s historical trend of refraining from launching its ultra-flagship devices in the Indian market. While this decision may not be surprising, it leaves Indian consumers eagerly awaiting the Xiaomi 14’s arrival, seeking to experience the device’s cutting-edge features.
The smartphone boasts an impressive set of specifications, including a 6.36-inch 1200p LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, offering configurations with up to 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage. The imaging capabilities are enhanced with a triple-camera setup, featuring 50MP Leica-branded lenses for wide, ultra-wide, and 3.2x telephoto shots. To ensure sustained usage, the smartphone houses a robust 4610mAh battery and supports rapid charging with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
As the official launch date approaches, Xiaomi India is expected to unveil the pricing details and availability specifics on March 7, adding to the excitement surrounding the entry of the phone into the Indian smartphone market. The event promises to provide a comprehensive overview of the device’s features, performance, and the unique attributes that set it apart in the competitive landscape.

According to their findings, the base model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is expected to start at €1,099/PKR328570.35. This marks a shift from last year’s Xiaomi 13, which launched at €999/PKR298673.14 for the 8GB/256GB variant. Notably, the 512GB and 1TB models in China come with a robust 16GB of RAM, signaling a new tier in the Xiaomi 14 lineup.
The phone is poised to be available for open sale from February 29, adding to the anticipation surrounding its global debut. It’s noteworthy that the recent revelation aligns with earlier speculations that the Xiaomi 14 Pro may not venture beyond the borders of China. Instead, Xiaomi appears to be favoring the Ultra version, phasing out the Pro model.

Xiaomi enthusiasts worldwide await further insights into the specifications and features of the upcoming series, as the brand continues to make waves with its innovative and competitive offerings. Xiaomi has officially announced the global launch of its flagship Xiaomi 14 series smartphones, set to take place later this month outside of China. The Xiaomi 14 series will make its global debut on Sunday, February 25 in Barcelona, just ahead of the commencement of MWC scheduled for the following day. The teasers hint at the highly anticipated unveiling of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The teaser images imply that alongside the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, we can also expect the introduction of the more compact Xiaomi 14. However, reports indicate that the Xiaomi 14 Pro is unlikely to be released outside of China.
Xiaomi’s official website’s landing page teases “a new generation of Leica optics, reaching new heights,” strongly suggesting the introduction of the rumored wider variable aperture on the main camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is anticipated to feature four 50MP cameras, with a Sony LYT-900 main sensor equipped with a faster f/1.6-f/4.0 variable aperture, in contrast to the outgoing Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s f/1.9 – f/4.0 range. Additionally, it is speculated that the Xiaomi 14 series will be accompanied by the introduction of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Android tablet.

Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce its 14 series by the close of 2023, and the company has already secured certification for one of the smartphones from 3C. The Chinese Compulsory Certification (CCC) has given the green light to a phone bearing the model number 23127PN0CC, believed to be the standard Xiaomi 14 model, which comes equipped with 90W fast charging support.
This smartphone’s charger will deliver power output in the range of 5-20V at 6.1-4.5A, culminating in a maximum of 90W. To harness this capability, users will require the Xiaomi MDY-14-EC charger, though it remains uncertain whether the company will include this adapter in the retail package.
In early 2022, Xiaomi adopted a practice where they included the charger with the Xiaomi 13, but only for international markets. In China, users had to make a choice about whether they wanted the charger included since it was not included by default.
While Xiaomi is no stranger to 90W charging speeds, this development represents a significant advancement for the standard flagship model. The previous two iterations offered 67W wired charging, while the 13 Pro and 12 Pro models reached an impressive 120W. The question of whether Xiaomi will elevate the charging rate for the 14 Pro model remains unanswered, but more information on this front is expected to surface soon.

The leaked specifications of the Xiaomi 14 series surfaced last week, and now we have an early schematic of the base model, the Xiaomi 14. The schematic was shared by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, who has a proven track record with Xiaomi device leaks. However, it’s important to note that the final design may differ from this image.
The Xiaomi 14 is depicted with a flat screen that features slim bezels and a centered punch-hole cutout, similar to its predecessor. Moving to the back of the device, we can see a square camera island reminiscent of the Xiaomi 13 series, but with larger cutouts to accommodate the main and telephoto camera sensors. The other two cutouts are likely for the ultrawide camera sensor and the LED flash.
According to the leaked specifications from last week, the Xiaomi 14 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 4,860mAh battery that supports 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to feature the same chipset but with a larger 5,000mAh battery, supporting 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
