Adding to the recent buzz surrounding Motorola’s upcoming lineup, leaks of the Edge 50 Ultra have surfaced, completing the trio of anticipated devices alongside the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion. While the Edge 50 Pro’s official unveiling is slated for April, rumors suggest the Edge 50 Fusion might also make its debut around the same time.
Intriguingly, leaked renders of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra display the same April, hinting at a possible simultaneous launch of all three devices. However, discrepancies in the render dates raise a note of caution, suggesting the need to take this information with a grain of salt.
Expected to feature the newly unveiled Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a ‘lite’ version of last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Edge 50 Ultra boasts an impressive camera setup. With three 50 MP cameras on the rear, including a 12mm ultrawide and a 72mm periscope lens promising 3x optical zoom, accompanied by laser autofocus and a multiple-LED flash, photography enthusiasts have much to anticipate.
Available in three distinct colors – light beige, black, and Peach Fuzz – the Edge 50 Ultra offers varied aesthetic options. The black model flaunts a faux leather finish, while the Peach Fuzz variant might follow suit. Meanwhile, the light beige iteration boasts a seamless finish extending across the back to the raised camera module.
Sporting a curved-edge touchscreen, the Edge 50 Ultra is set to debut Motorola’s new Android skin, Hello UI, promising users three major Android updates. Priced at $999, the Edge 50 Ultra is poised to make waves in the market, potentially rebranded as the Motorola Edge+ 2024 or Edge Ultra 2024 in the US.
