iQOO brand will introduce the IQOO Z9x in Asia. Unlike the Z9 available in Asia, which differs from its Chinese counterpart, it appears the Asian Z9x will closely mirror the Chinese model based on recently confirmed key specifications.
iQOO and Amazon.in have revealed that the Asian Z9x will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, feature a 6,000 mAh battery, and support 44W fast charging, just like the version sold in China. Additionally, the smartphone will be available in black, alongside the previously confirmed green variant, and will maintain a sleek 7.9mm thickness. It will also sport a 50MP main camera.
Assuming the rest of the specifications remain consistent with the Chinese model, the Asian iQOO Z9x will boast a 6.72-inch 120Hz FullHD+ LCD, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It will include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. For photography, it will feature an 8MP front-facing camera and a 2MP depth sensor complementing the 50MP primary rear camera.
One notable difference is the operating system. While the Chinese model runs on OriginOS, the Asian version is expected to come with Funtouch OS out of the box, as OriginOS is exclusive to the Chinese market. Overall, the iQOO Z9x seems poised to offer a robust set of features, making it a strong contender in the Asian mid-range smartphone segment.
