Motorola is currently in the process of developing the Moto G85, an upcoming device that will naturally succeed the G84 from last year once it hits the market. While the exact release date is still unknown, it’s worth noting that the G84 was announced last August, suggesting that the G85 might still be some time away.
The Moto G85 has been listed by a European retailer, confirming its launch in Europe, and it’s expected to be available in other regions as well. Priced at €300, it will offer the same launch price as its predecessor, but with an upgrade to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage—a notable improvement.
It’s not often that we see such generous memory and storage capacities in mid-range devices like this, making it a noteworthy advancement. Unfortunately, no other specifications for the G85 have been revealed yet.
However, based on the G84’s features, we can speculate that the G85 might include a 6.55-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz OLED touchscreen, the Snapdragon 695 SoC, a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a 16 MP selfie shooter, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W wired charging support. Additionally, the new model is expected to run Android 14 out of the box.
