iQOO has announced that it will be unveiling its Neo 8 series smartphones along with its first-ever tablet, the iQOO Pad, at an event in China on May 23. The teaser shared by iQOO provides a glimpse of the iQOO Pad’s design, which bears resemblance to the vivo Pad2. This similarity is not surprising, as the iQOO Pad is expected to be a variant of the vivo Pad2 but powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chipset instead of the Dimensity 9000.
If the speculations are accurate, the iQOO Pad will feature a 12.1-inch 144Hz LCD display with a resolution of 2,800×1,968 pixels. It is anticipated to offer up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage, and will run on OriginOS 3, based on Android 13. The device will be equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery supporting 44W wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
For photography, the iQOO Pad is likely to include an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and a 13MP primary camera. Additionally, it will feature a 2MP macro camera. The tablet is expected to omit the 3.5mm headphone jack but will come with stereo speakers.
In the case of the vivo Pad2, vivo had introduced accessories such as a keyboard case with a built-in trackpad and a stylus. It remains to be seen whether these accessories will also be available for the iQOO Pad.
