Infinix to Launch Color-Changing Back Panels for Phones using E-Ink Technology
A few years back, our exploration of the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 left us in awe, showcasing groundbreaking features like its remarkable 160W charging capability and the inclusion of an electrochromic film on its rear panel. This innovative film bestowed the device with the ability to metamorphose from a sleek slate gray hue to a mesmerizing steel blue shade, captivating users with its dynamic aesthetic.
Fast forward to the present, and Infinix has once again captured our attention with the unveiling of a new prototype technology dubbed E-Color Shift. Building upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, this advanced iteration takes the concept of color-shifting to new heights. Unlike its predecessor, the E-Color Shift technology offers a wider spectrum of hues to choose from, with the rear panel segmented into individual sections, each independently controllable to facilitate intricate color manipulations.
At the core of this technological marvel lies E Ink Prism 3, reminiscent of the displays found in e-book readers. Leveraging the inherent efficiency of E Ink technology, the E-Color Shift system minimizes power consumption, requiring energy solely for color transitions while maintaining a static display with negligible power draw.
Beyond static color displays, the E-Color Shift technology boasts impressive agility, enabling swift color transitions comparable to, if not faster than, conventional e-book readers.
