Google has a history of failing to keep its Pixel devices confidential before their official release, and the Pixel 7a is no exception. After numerous leaks, including detailed images of a developer unit that surfaced online, we now have what appears to be official marketing materials for the Pixel 7a.
The marketing materials confirm several of the prior leaks, including a 90Hz display, Tensor G2 chipset with Titan M2 security chip, and wireless charging – a first for the Pixel A lineup. There is also mention of a new 64MP primary camera, believed to use the Sony IMX787 sensor.
The design of the phone follows the design language of the Pixel 7 series, and it is expected to debut at next month’s Google I/O conference in Charcoal, Snow, Sea, and Coral colors. The retail price is rumored to be $499, with availability immediately following the unveiling.
Earlier this month, leaked renders of the Pixel 7a in three colors were shared, and now reliable leakster Evan Blass has revealed the phone in a new shade. The marketing name of this color version is yet to be announced by Google. Although the company has not yet officially confirmed the Pixel 7a’s launch date or features, recently leaked marketing materials have aligned with previous rumors.
