Tecno has officially announced its Camon 20 series, consisting of the Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro, and Camon 20 Pro 5G. These three phones share a similar design, featuring an unconventional camera island on the back, and all come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Camon 20 Pro 5G is one of the first devices to launch with MediaTek’s new 6nm Dimensity 8050 chipset, which is essentially a rebranded version of last year’s Dimensity 1300. The Camon 20 Pro is powered by a 6nm Helio G99 SoC, while the standard Camon 20 is equipped with a 12nm Helio G85. All three phones offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Camon 20 series phones share a 64MP main camera and a 2MP macro shooter on the back. The Pro 5G model includes optical image stabilization (OIS) for its main lens and a 2MP depth sensor, while the other two models have QVGA modules accompanying the third lens.
For selfies, all three phones feature a 32MP front-facing camera. The Camon 20 Pro and Pro 5G have optical fingerprint scanners integrated under the display, while the Camon 20 relies on a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
All devices run on Android 13 with Tecno’s HIOS 13 user interface layered on top and are rated IP53 for limited water and dust resistance. They are powered by 5,000mAh batteries with 33W charging support. The Camon 20 comes in Predawn Black, Serenity Blue, and Glacier Glow colors, while the Camon 20 Pro and 20 Pro 5G are available in Serenity Blue and Dark Welkin.
Tecno has confirmed that the Camon 20 Pro 5G will retail for $300 and is already available in Nigeria. The Camon 20 series will be available in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Southern Asia, with specific pricing and availability details for each region to be announced at a later date.
