Just a while back, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy M55 in Brazil, with plans for availability in various other markets, including Asia. Recent leaks have shed light on the pricing details for the Asian market, originating from a typically reliable source.
Reportedly, the Galaxy M55 will debut in Asia with a starting price of $323 or €299 for the variant featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For the 256GB storage option, prospective buyers may need to shell out $359 or €332. Meanwhile, the top-tier model, offering 12GB of RAM alongside 256GB of storage, is rumored to be priced at $395 or €366.
However, it’s essential to exercise caution as these details are based on leaks, and Samsung is yet to officially introduce the Galaxy M55 to the Asian market. Nonetheless, the official launch is anticipated to be imminent.
To recap the Galaxy M55’s features, it boasts a generous 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, reaching up to 1,000 nits peak brightness and incorporating an embedded optical fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, with expandable storage options available via a microSD card slot.
On the rear, a triple-camera setup comprises a 50MP main snapper with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera, while selfies are captured by a 50MP front-facing camera. The device is equipped with a sizable 5,000 mAh battery supporting 45W fast wired charging. It runs on Android 14 with One UI 6 on top, promising four major Android updates and five years of security patches.
The Galaxy M55 distinguishes itself from its Galaxy A-series counterparts with notable upgrades, including a larger display, a different chipset, and faster charging capabilities. With its impressive features and competitive pricing, anticipation is high for its arrival in the Asian market and beyond.
