vivo Y100t Launched with Dimensity 8200

Today, vivo introduced its latest smartphone, the Y100t, in China, showcasing impressive features such as a 64 MP camera and rapid 120W charging capabilities. Notably, the design of the Y100t closely mirrors that of the iQOO Z8, which made its debut in China in August 2023. The primary distinction lies in the branding on the back, with the Y100t proudly displaying the “vivo” label in contrast to the “iQOO” inscription on its counterpart. Despite this subtle difference, the two phones share identical specifications and are priced similarly.

Equipped with a 6.64-inch LCD display boasting Full HD+ resolution and a high 120 Hz refresh rate, the Y100t ensures a vibrant and smooth visual experience. Powering the device is the Dimensity 8200 chipset, complemented by a choice of 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and storage configurations of 256 GB or 512 GB. The rear camera setup features a 64 MP main lens accompanied by a 2 MP auxiliary sensor, while the front-facing camera, housed in a punch-hole cutout, boasts 16 MP.

Positioned as an alternative to the Y100i and Y78t models, the Y100t distinguishes itself with its remarkable charging capabilities. With an impressive 120W charging speed, the device accommodates a 5,000 mAh battery, setting a new standard for rapid charging within the lineup. Running on OriginOS 3 out of the box, the Y100t offers a seamless and user-friendly interface.

Available in White, Blue, or Black color options, the vivo Y100t is scheduled for sale in China starting February 28. The pricing tiers are set at CNY 1,499 ($210/€190) for the 8/256 GB variant, CNY 1,699 ($235/€220) for the 12/256 GB model, and CNY 1,899 ($265/€245) for the 12/512 GB configuration, making it an appealing choice for users seeking a feature-rich and competitively priced smartphone in the Chinese market.
