vivo V30 Pro Resurfaces on Geekbench with a Dimensity 8200

Just last week, a Bluetooth SIG certification hinted at the imminent launch of the vivo V30 Pro. Now, the phone has made its appearance on the Geekbench database, showcasing the prowess of its Dimensity 8200 chipset.

While the exact chipset has yet to be officially confirmed, initial indications point towards the Dimensity 8200. Initially expected to be based on the vivo S18 Pro, which is exclusively available in China and features the more robust Dimensity 9200+, the V30 Pro seems to have opted for the Dimensity 8200.

Although it’s premature to delve into benchmark scores due to the variability observed in the two recorded runs in the database – one showing 1,045/3,637 in single/multi-core, and the other 1,223/3,784 – the latter aligns more closely with the anticipated performance of the Dimensity 8200.

The device was configured with 12GB of RAM and operated on Android 14. Notably, vivo has already introduced several phones powered by the Dimensity 8200, such as the V27 Pro and V29 Pro from the previous year.

In the same generation, the vivo V30 Lite made its debut at the close of 2023, featuring a Snapdragon 695 and a base configuration of 12/256GB. Subsequently, the vivo V30 launched earlier this month, equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and an 8/128GB base configuration (expandable to 12/512GB).

While the V30 shares similarities with the S18, including a 50MP ultra-wide camera instead of the S18’s 8MP, and the V30 Lite introduces further distinctions from the S18e, it’s highly likely that the V30 Pro will deviate from the S18 Pro in more aspects than just the chipset, adding an element of anticipation to its forthcoming release.
