The flagship Vivo X100 series has been officially unveiled in China, introducing two models – the X100 and the X100 Pro. These smartphones mark the debut of MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9300 chipset and boast impressive camera capabilities, notably showcased by the X100 Pro’s Zeiss APO 100mm equivalent periscope lens.
Both X100 models feature gracefully curved 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED displays offering a resolution of 1260p, 10-bit colors, and a dynamic 1-120Hz refresh rate. These panels are capable of reaching peak brightness up to 3,000 nits and provide 2,160Hz PWM dimming for enhanced eye protection. Additionally, they incorporate built-in fingerprint readers and 32MP front-facing cameras housed within a punch-hole cutout.
Moving to the rear cameras, the X100 Pro stands out with its trio of 50MP lenses, featuring a 1-inch type Sony IMX989 main sensor. Notably, the X100 Pro showcases the world’s premiere mobile telephoto lens certified by Zeiss APO.
This lens corrects color aberrations by aligning green, blue, and red colors into the same focus plane, promising superior clarity and reduced fringing at contrast edges. The innovative periscope module boasts an f/2.57 aperture and a 100mm equivalent focal length, providing 4.3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
The third lens in this setup is a 15mm equivalent ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture. All three lenses are coated with T* lens coating, claiming a 50% reduction in reflectivity compared to the previous vivo X90 series. Moreover, the X100 Pro is equipped with vivo’s latest 6nm V3 imaging chip, dedicated to handling 4K movie portrait video recording and processing.
In comparison, the X100 features a custom 50MP IMX920 main sensor (f/1.57 aperture), coupled with a 64MP 1/2” sensor telephoto lens offering 3x zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). The third rear shooter is a 15mm equivalent 50MP ultrawide lens. Similar to the X100 Pro, all three cameras on the X100 are also equipped with T* lens coating.
Both variants of the Vivo X100 series offer configurations of up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, running on the latest OriginOS 4 based on Android 14. Regarding battery capacity, the X100 features a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging, while the X100 Pro boasts a slightly larger 5,400 mAh cell with 100W charging capability and 50W wireless fast charging. Both phones are IP68 water and dust-resistant, equipped with IR blasters, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
Available in black, white, blue, and orange color options, the X100 starts at CNY 3,999 ($548/PKR156072.59) for the 12/256GB variant, with the top-tier model reaching CNY 5,099 ($700/PKR199362.80) for 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB storage. The X100 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 ($685/PKR195090.74) for the 12/256GB variant and goes up to CNY 5,999 ($823/PKR234393.69) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version. Sales in China commence on November 21, with international pricing and availability details to follow later.
