Today, the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ smartphones, which were announced in March, have been launched in Asia. These smartphones are available in Aqua Blue, Classic Black, and Sea Green colors with a 4GB/64GB configuration.
However, the Redmi A2 also offers an additional option with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The price for the Redmi A2 with the 2GB/32GB variant is $75/€70/PKR21409.78, while the 4GB/64GB model is priced at $95/€90/PKR27119.05. The Redmi A2+ with the 4GB/64GB version is priced at $100/€95/PKR28546.37.
Starting from May 23, the Redmi A2 and A2+ will be available for purchase in Asia through various channels, including Xiaomi’s official website. Xiaomi is also offering a 2-year warranty on both smartphones to ensure that users don’t have to replace their smartphones every year.
Both the Redmi A2 and A2+ are essentially the same smartphones, except that the A2+ has a fingerprint reader on the rear. They are equipped with the Helio G36 SoC, run Android 13 (Go Edition) as the operating system out of the box, and feature 6.52-inch HD+ LCD displays.
These smartphones come with 5,000 mAh batteries that can be charged through a microUSB port at a maximum rate of 10W. The A2 and A2+ have 8MP primary cameras on the back, along with depth sensors, and they sport 5MP selfie cameras on the front.

Although the company did not explicitly mention the Redmi A2 or A2+, the use of the term “series” and the inclusion of the Redmi A2+’s image on the promotional page of Xiaomi’s official website confirm that both the Redmi A2 and A2+ will be launched in Asia next week.
The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ are essentially the same devices, with the latter featuring a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both phones are powered by the Helio G36 SoC, feature 6.52″ HD+ LCD displays, and are equipped with 5,000 mAh batteries.
They have 8MP primary cameras on the rear, accompanied by depth units, while the front-facing cameras utilize 5MP sensors. While the Redmi A2 and A2+ come pre-installed with Android 12 (Go Edition), the units released in Asia will come with Android 13 out of the box.
