The vivo S17e has silently made its appearance on the company’s website today. While the complete S17 lineup is yet to be officially announced, reports indicate that the launch is scheduled for exactly one week from now, on May 31. This new smartphone boasts a top-tier display but is equipped with a mid-range Dimensity 7200 chipset. It features two cameras, although only one of them can be used independently.
The front of the vivo S17e showcases a remarkable 10-bit 6.78″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It possesses curved edges and an under-display fingerprint scanner, while the top section includes a punch hole housing a 16 MP selfie camera.
On the back, you’ll find a 64 MP main camera along with a 2 MP auxiliary shooter that assists in creating background blur for portrait shots. The phone is powered by a 4,600 mAh battery, which supports 66W charging through the USB-C port located at the bottom. It operates on OriginOS 3, layered on top of Android 13, and offers Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity.
The vivo S17e is available in three colors: Gold, Blue, and Black. The former two options feature an elegant sand design achieved through an innovative three-layer coating technology. The phone is currently on sale with three memory configurations: 8/128 GB priced at CNY2,099 ($300/€275/PKR85687.50), 8/256 GB priced at CNY2,299 ($325/€300/PKR92828.13), and 12/256 GB priced at CNY2,499 ($355/€330/PKR101396.88).
Typically, the “e” phones in the S series are primarily limited to the Chinese market. However, it’s worth keeping an eye out for the international release of the S17 and S17 Pro, which are expected to be part of the V family.
