Next week marks the arrival of the iQOO Neo 8 series, and for the first time, the Neo lineup will include a Pro model. Powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, the Pro variant will feature the V1+ ISP, which the company announced today. This ISP will support a 50MP main camera equipped with a Sony IMX866 sensor and OIS (optical image stabilization).
The main camera on the iQOO Neo 8 Pro is considered flagship-grade, as it shares the same sensor found in the iQOO 11 Pro and the vivo X90. With a 1/1.49″ imager, 1.0µm pixels, and an f/1.75 lens, it promises excellent performance.
The vivo brand recently shared some camera samples from the iQOO Neo 8 Pro, showcasing stunning details in four different scenarios: daylight still objects, daylight scenes with moving objects, night mode capturing a single object, and night mode capturing the Central district of Hong Kong and Victoria Harbour. However, due to the images being posted on social media, the compression applied makes it difficult to analyze them thoroughly.
In terms of specifications, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will come with 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The promotional images of the phone revealed a striking red leather back, which will be the highlight color of the series. However, it is unlikely that the device will be available outside of China, as vivo has previously kept exclusive back panel designs limited to the domestic market.
