The Tecno Pova 5 Pro was released in August last year, and its successor is already in the pipeline. Tecno has officially announced that the Pova 6 Pro is set to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of the upcoming month.
Distinguished as the first Tecno phone to incorporate Dolby Atmos support, this development follows a partnership agreement between Tecno and Dolby Laboratories specifically for this purpose. It’s not exclusive to the Pova 6 Pro, as other members of the forthcoming Pova 6 series, as well as all future devices in the Camon and Phantom series (yet to be named), will also feature Dolby Atmos.
Tecno emphasizes that this collaboration aims to deliver users a “breathtaking Dolby Atmos spatial sound experience,” creating a sensation that envelops them with depth, clarity, and unprecedented details. The promise extends to “moving audio that flows above and all around you,” providing an immersive sound experience whether using stereo earbuds or headphones, or relying on the phone’s built-in speakers.
It’s worth noting that the impact of Dolby Atmos on the Tecno devices is not confined to Dolby Atmos-specific content. Rather, it transforms the sound quality of all audio experiences, be it music, games, movies, or shows.
The result is a more natural listening experience characterized by crisper dialogue, an enveloping soundfield, enhanced subtlety and nuance, maximized loudness without distortion, and consistent playback volume across various types of content.
