Tecno Pova 5 will Feature Helio G99 and 6000 mAh Battery

Today, Tecno introduced the Pova 5, which is the inaugural device in the new Pova 5 series. This series will also include the Pova 5 Pro and Pova Neo 3. Additionally, there will be a special edition called the Pova 5 Free Fire Special Edition, created in collaboration with the popular battle royale game hosted by Garena.

Featuring a cutting-edge design known as Turbo Mecha, the Tecno Pova 5 exhibits sleek lines reminiscent of giant robot mechas seen in popular science fiction. The phone is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 45W charging.

With the included charger, the phone can reach a 50% charge in just 21 minutes and a full charge in 60 minutes. Moreover, the Pova 5 can serve as a reverse charger for other devices via cable, providing up to 10W of power, if needed. The battery is enhanced by Battery Lab 3.0 software, ensuring endurance, and STS Secure Battery Technology, which promotes longevity and instills confidence in users.

Driving the Tecno Pova 5 is MediaTek’s 6nm Helio G99 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone incorporates a total heat dissipation area of 10,749mm2, consisting of a 1399.65mm2 vapor chamber and a 9349.39mm2 graphene heat sink.

The Tecno Pova 5 sports a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x24460px, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. On the back, it features a 50MP camera along with a depth sensor, while an 8MP selfie camera is situated on the front. The phone includes noteworthy features such as a z-axis linear vibration motor and dual speakers with DTS Sound.

Tecno plans to release the Pova 5 in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America in three color options: Hurricane Blue, Amber Gold, and Mecha Black. Pricing details for each specific market will be announced at a later date. As for the Tecno Pova Neo 3, it offers a larger 6.82-inch display with a resolution of 720x1640px.

Its standout feature is the massive 7,000mAh battery. Powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, it comes with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Pova Neo 3 is equipped with a 16MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera. It will be available in the same three colors as the Pova 5.
