Just a few hours ago, a flood of official-looking images of the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI surfaced, hinting at their possible unveiling at Sony’s event in June. And now, even more images have leaked, providing us with a clearer look at these devices. Despite Sony’s attempts to control the leaks, we are getting detailed views of the unannounced phones.
The new images offer a better look at the Xperia 10 VI in all three available colors. As mentioned earlier, the Xperia 10 VI has lost the telephoto zoom camera found in its predecessor, leaving it with just the main and ultrawide cameras. This might seem like a step backward, but it’s possible the main camera could deliver lossless 2x zoom to compensate. We’ll have to wait and see.
Both the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Sony Xperia 1 VI, being Sony’s flagship, will have a significant price difference compared to the Xperia 10 VI. The Xperia 1 VI is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and will come with a triple rear camera system, including a periscope telephoto lens. It will also offer 12GB or 16GB of RAM, while the Xperia 10 VI is rumored to have 6GB or 8GB of RAM to keep costs down.
The Xperia 1 VI will boast a 5,000 mAh battery, a 120 Hz screen refresh rate, and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The new aspect ratio of the screen, now 19.5:9, is less tall and slightly wider, and the bezels are noticeably thinner compared to the Xperia 10 VI.
Details about the Xperia 10 VI are still scarce, but with its launch imminent, more information is expected soon. The device will feature a simpler camera setup with just the main and ultrawide cameras, ditching the telephoto lens.
The Xperia 1 VI’s design closely follows that of the Xperia 1 V, but with the new screen aspect ratio. The phone will be available in two colors, though their marketing names are still unknown. It will feature a flat screen, and the right side will house the power button (doubling as a fingerprint scanner), volume buttons, and a camera shutter key. Sony will also offer a kickstand case for this model.
As for the Xperia 10 VI, it will retain its familiar design but with a more modern and playful look, particularly around the camera island. It will be available in three colors, and like the Xperia 1 VI, it will support a 3.5mm headphone jack and come with a kickstand case. The phone’s overall design remains similar to its predecessor, with substantial bezels on the front. While further details about the Xperia 10 VI are limited, the proximity of the launch suggests more information will be revealed soon.

Sony Xperia 1 VI is set to be officially unveiled in June, and as the date approaches, leaks about the device are becoming more abundant. Just recently, images of the phone’s camera island surfaced, suggesting that the camera modules will be larger compared to those on the Xperia 1 V, directly contradicting an earlier rumor.
Most rumors agree that the Sony Xperia 1 VI will lose the 4K display and adopt a slightly more common aspect ratio. However, one piece of information that hasn’t been mentioned so far is the price. Today, we have some insight into what to expect in terms of pricing. In Taiwan, the phone is rumored to be slightly cheaper than its predecessor, priced at TWD 39,900 ($1,224 or €1,143) instead of TWD 41,990 ($1,288 or €1,204).
Although this isn’t a significant price reduction, and even if this rumor proves accurate, it’s uncertain whether similar price adjustments will be seen elsewhere. It’s possible that this pricing is specific to Taiwan. Nonetheless, it’s reassuring to see that the price isn’t rumored to increase even further compared to last year’s Xperia 1 V.
