Rumors suggest that Samsung will revive its FE smartphone series with the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE in the upcoming months. Recently, new information about the phone’s charging capabilities has emerged from a listing on China’s 3C agency. The Galaxy S23 FE, identified as SM-S7110, is expected to support charging speeds of up to 25W, confirming previous speculations.
According to the latest rumors, the S23 FE will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be equipped with an Exynos 2200 chipset, accompanied by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone is also rumored to house a 4,500mAh battery and a 50MP primary camera on the rear, based on various reports.

According to a leakster on Twitter, there has been a significant decline in the sales of Samsung’s Galaxy S23 family this month. The report suggests that the flagship slab-style line is expected to experience a 20% decrease in sales for the full second quarter (April to June) compared to the previous year’s Galaxy S22 series.
The decrease in demand is attributed to lower-than-anticipated interest from general consumers. Early adopters already purchased their devices by March, and it appears that there is limited interest in Samsung’s latest offerings beyond that.
This situation has prompted Samsung to reportedly accelerate the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE. The rumor suggests that this model might hit the market before the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5, which are rumored to be unveiled in July and released in early August.
If this rumor holds true, the Galaxy S23 FE could potentially debut in July or possibly even earlier. The phone has been the subject of rumors for months and is said to be a more budget-friendly version of the Galaxy S23, with only a few specifications changed. As a result, it requires a shorter development period than usual.
However, it’s important to approach this information with caution, as it is currently an unconfirmed rumor. Speaking of the Galaxy S23 FE’s specifications, previous rumors have suggested that it will feature Samsung’s Exynos 2200 SoC in all regions, a 50 MP main camera, a 4,500 mAh battery, and options for 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. Initially, it was rumored to arrive “months after” the new foldable devices, but now it appears that the release timeline has shifted dramatically.

GalaxyClub has corroborated a previous report that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE may feature a 50MP primary camera, which would be a significant upgrade from the Galaxy S21 FE’s 12MP camera. The 50MP camera could potentially be the same as the one used in the Galaxy S22 and S23.
However, there is currently no information available about the number of rear cameras or any changes to the selfie shooter. The Galaxy S21 FE featured a 32MP front-facing camera, while the S22 and S23 offered 10MP and 12MP respectively.
Aside from the camera upgrade, the rumored specifications for the Galaxy S23 FE include an Exynos 2200 SoC, a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W charging support, and two storage options – 128GB and 256GB, with a choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy S23 FE is expected to be unveiled after the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 in July, potentially in late 2023 or early 2024, according to the source.

Samsung chose to avoid the Galaxy S22 FE last year because of progressing chip lack and expanded interest for its lead Galaxy S22 Ultra. Another report from South Korean media source The Elec recommends the Fan Edition series is expected for a return in 2023 with the Galaxy S23 FE sending off around the August/September period.
The Galaxy FE series accumulated prevalence with the Galaxy S20 FE back in 2020 with more than 10 million shipments that year alone. Following up such a generally welcomed gadget is hard and the Galaxy S21 FE didn’t do so well which caused Samsung to reevaluate its FE series releases proceeding.
In view of the new report, Samsung will skirt the Galaxy A74 and will rather zero in on sending off the S23 FE in additional markets. Samsung is attempting to reshape it’s Galaxy A-series portfolio and the A7-series will probably be cut. The impending FE phone will send off with either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For System or 2022’s boss Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
