In case you haven’t heard, Samsung is reintroducing the 2022 Galaxy S21 FE in Asia, but with a notable change—instead of the original Exynos 2100 chipset, it now features a Snapdragon 888. Nearly all the details about the new device have already been leaked, and the latest information suggests that it might be officially unveiled on July 17. As of the time of writing this article, Samsung’s official website for Asia still states that the S21 FE 2023 is “coming soon.” However, it has come to light that the phone is already available for purchase in physical stores.
The price remains the same as before, at PKR166500, but this time the base variant offers 256 GB of storage instead of 128 GB. This means that technically, the S21 FE 2023 provides a sort of discount compared to the original model.
The only other difference between the original model and the S21 FE 2023 is the color selection. The new device is available in Olive, Graphite, and Lavender, just like before. However, the White option has been replaced by a new Navy Blue color.
Apart from the chipset, no other changes have been made to the device’s hardware. This means it still features a 6.4″ 120Hz display, an FHD+ AMOLED panel, a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, an 8MP telephoto camera (3x zoom), and a 32MP selfie camera. The battery capacity remains at 4,500mAh and supports 25W wired charging as well as 15W wireless charging.
One question that remains unanswered is whether the S21 FE 2023 will launch with Android 12 or Android 13, and consequently, whether it will receive an additional OS update compared to the original S21 FE. Only time will tell.
