Samsung introduced the 5G-enabled Galaxy M14 in March last year, and now, nearly a year later, the company is launching the Galaxy M14 4G variant in Asia. The Galaxy M14 4G is priced at ($100) for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The higher-tier variant, featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is priced at ($140). Notably, these prices are lower than previously rumored last week. The phone is offered in Arctic Blue and Sapphire Blue color options.
Launching with Android 13 out of the box, the Galaxy M14 4G’s update policy is somewhat limited, with only two major Android updates expected. However, it compensates with a four-year security patch commitment.
Featuring a 6.7-inch FHD+ PLS LCD display, the device boasts a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. On the imaging front, the Galaxy M14 4G sports a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor, accompanied by two 2MP auxiliary sensors. For selfies, there’s a 13MP front-facing camera housed within the waterdrop notch.
Additionally, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button for secure unlocking. Powering the device is a robust 5,000mAh battery, with support for 25W fast charging, ensuring prolonged usage without frequent recharges.

In March, Samsung introduced the Galaxy F14 5G and the Galaxy M14 5G, and now there are indications that 4G-only versions of both models are in the pipeline. The Galaxy M14 4G has an active support page on Samsung, and manuals for both the Galaxy M14 4G and Galaxy F14 4G have been uncovered.
It’s noteworthy that these devices are likely to be identical, merely sold under different names by various retailers. This mirrors the situation with the Galaxy F14 5G and Galaxy M14 5G, where the only distinction lies in the former omitting the depth sensor found on the latter’s rear.
The Galaxy M14 4G carries the model number SM-M146B, while the Galaxy F14 4G is identified by the model number SM-E146B. Both adhere to Samsung’s consistent design language maintained across its devices for over a year, irrespective of price point.
For both devices, the power button will serve a dual purpose as the fingerprint sensor. They will feature a single downward firing speaker and support NFC. Unfortunately, detailed specifications are yet to be revealed, leaving uncertainty about the differences from their 5G counterparts, the M14 5G and F14 5G.
Speaking of the latter, both the Galaxy F14 5G and Galaxy M14 5G boast a 6.6-inch 1080×2408 LCD touchscreen with a 90 Hz refresh rate. They are powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC, equipped with 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP selfie camera, and a robust 6,000 mAh battery supporting 25W wired charging.
