In mid-April, there were reports that the Samsung Galaxy F54 would be launched in India by the end of that month, but it seems that the release has been delayed. However, according to a recent rumor from a Twitter leakster, the launch of the Galaxy F54 in India is expected “in 2 or 3 weeks.” Fortunately, the leakster also shared some important specifications of the upcoming device.
The Galaxy F54, as the name suggests, will be closely related to the already available Galaxy A54, but with a few differences that we’ll discuss shortly. According to the leak, the F54 will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED touchscreen, powered by the Exynos 1380 SoC. It will have a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 108 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP decorative sensor. For selfies, there will be a 32 MP front-facing camera.
The device will be equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. Other expected features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a hybrid SIM slot, Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display, and support for Wi-Fi 6.
Compared to the Galaxy A54, the F54 will have a larger screen, a single speaker instead of dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an in-display one, a higher-resolution main camera and lower-resolution ultrawide camera, a 20% larger battery, and a “less premium build.” Therefore, it is logical to expect that the Galaxy F54 will be slightly more affordable than its sibling when it finally launches in India later this month.
