Samsung quietly launched the Galaxy C55 in China today, revealing a phone that closely resembles the Galaxy M55 but with new back panel options in leather finish, available in Orange and Black. The Galaxy C55 features a 6.7-inch OLED display and a 50 MP main camera.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and includes a 5,000 mAh battery. Notably, the C55 supports 45W wired charging, the fastest in Samsung’s portfolio, matching the Galaxy S24 Ultra and surpassing models like the Galaxy S24.

The device offers 256 GB of storage, with RAM options of 8 GB and 12 GB, priced at CNY 1,999 and CNY 2,299, respectively. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy C55 is not available for online purchase and can only be bought from physical Samsung Experience Stores across China.

This launch adds to Samsung’s diverse lineup, providing customers with enhanced design choices and high-performance features typically reserved for premium models. Samsung Galaxy C55 Seen on Geekbench – to Have Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC

It’s been several months since rumors about the Samsung Galaxy C55 first surfaced, and the phone still hasn’t been officially announced. However, leaks continue to provide more details. Recently, the C55 appeared in the Geekbench database, confirming it is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.

For those familiar with Samsung’s recent launches, this is the same chipset used in the Galaxy M55. The Geekbench scorecard and the Google Play Console reveal that the C55 will be configured with 8GB of RAM (the M55 also offers a 12GB variant). The C55 was running Android 14, likely layered with One UI 6.1.

According to TENAA, the Samsung Galaxy C55 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 13MP selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens. The device will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery.

These specs closely mirror those of the M55, with a notable difference in the front camera—the M55 boasts a 50MP selfie shooter. Additionally, the M55 supports 45W fast charging, a feature previously limited to Samsung’s S-series flagships. Charging details for the C55 are not yet available, but it may be limited to 25W to differentiate the two models.

Another related model, the Galaxy F55, is expected to be a regional variant of either the M55 or C55—likely the latter, as indicated by their joint listing on the Bluetooth SIG page. TENAA has also released photos of the C55, showing a design consistent with other Samsung devices. Despite the extensive leaks, Samsung has yet to officially confirm the Galaxy C55, and there’s no word on its release date.

TENNA Shares Samsung Galaxy A55 and Samsung Galaxy C55 Live Images

The design of the Galaxy A55 doesn’t bring many surprises, as Samsung phones typically adhere to a consistent look. However, a notable feature introduced with the A15 and A25, known as the Key Island design—a raised area housing the phone’s side keys (volume and power)—is present in the A55.

This characteristic was initially revealed in renders and is now confirmed in live photos posted by TENAA. Identified by the model number SM-A5560, the Galaxy A55 has a related model, SM-C5560, possibly designated as the Galaxy C55 or Y55.

The A55 underwent Geekbench testing, featuring the upcoming Exynos 1480 chipset, which may or may not incorporate AMD graphics. According to rumors, the phone is expected to offer an 8/256GB configuration along with a microSD slot.

Regarding the Galaxy C55, additional details have surfaced, courtesy of TENAA. It is expected to feature a 6.67” OLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 13MP selfie camera, a triple rear camera setup consisting of 50+8+2MP lenses, and a substantial 5,000mAh battery. While the specific differences between the C55 and A55 are yet to be clarified, it’s worth noting that the Galaxy A54, for example, has a smaller 6.4” display and a 12MP ultra-wide camera instead of 8MP.

The relationship between the C55 and the recently revealed Galaxy A35 remains uncertain. Samsung has not officially announced a release date for the Galaxy A55, A35, C55, and other mid-range offerings, including those in the M-series lineup.
