Earlier today, Xiaomi’s subsidiary brand, Redmi, officially unveiled the Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 Pro, in addition to the flagship Redmi Note 13 Pro+ we previously mentioned. The Redmi Note 13 boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels, a rapid 120 Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 1000-nit brightness. It also features a 2,160 mAh touch sampling rate and 1,920 Hz PWM dimming.
Under the hood, it’s powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6080 SoC and offers four different RAM and storage configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a high-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The RAM is of the LPDDR4X type, while the storage uses UFS 2.2 technology.
In terms of camera capabilities, it sports a remarkable 100 MP primary rear camera with 0.64μm pixel size and utilizes 9-in-1 binning for enhanced image quality. Accompanying this is a 2 MP depth sensor, while on the front, you’ll find a 16 MP selfie camera. Keeping everything running is a robust 5,000 mAh battery, which supports fast charging at 33W. The dimensions of the phone are 161.11 x 74.95 x 7.6 mm, with a weight of 173.5g.
The Redmi Note 13 will be available in three attractive color options: Star Sand, Midnight Dark, and Time Blue, with a starting price of CNY 1,099, which translates to approximately $150 at the current exchange rate.
As for the Redmi Note 13 Pro, it is equipped with Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, coupled with a choice of 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, and storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro features a 6.67-inch display with a resolution of 1220×2712 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 2,160 Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,920 Hz PWM dimming. It also includes an under-display fingerprint sensor for added security.
The camera setup is impressive, with a 200 MP main camera using Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3 sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies. Powering the device is a substantial 5,100 mAh battery with rapid 67W wired fast charging.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro comes in four stylish color variants: Midnight Dark, Time Blue, Shallow Dream, and Star Sand White, with prices starting at CNY 1,399, approximately $192. Both of these smartphones run MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
It’s important to note that the initial launch was exclusive to China, and there is no information available yet regarding when or if these models will be released in other regions, or if any modifications will be made for international markets.
