Redmi 13 Launching Soon with 5000mAh Battery

The Redmi13 series is already extensive with seven models, but Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi isn’t stopping there. They are now working on the Redmi 13, a lower-end variant compared to the Note series. The Redmi 13 has recently been certified by the FCC and spotted in an IMEI database. It will come preloaded with HyperOS 1.0, based on Android 14.

One confirmed specification is its 5,000 mAh battery, which supports up to 33W charging. The battery has been certified with a rated capacity of 4,930 mAh, translating to a marketed “typical” capacity of 5,000 mAh.

While additional specifications haven’t been disclosed through the certification process, the model number is 24049RN28L. This is unusual because it doesn’t end in “C” (for China), “G” (for global markets), or “I” (for Asia) as Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco model numbers typically do. However, given its FCC certification, it’s likely the Redmi 13 will be available outside China.

The Redmi 13 is set to succeed the Redmi 12, which was launched in June last year. The Redmi 12 featured a 6.79-inch 90 Hz LCD display, powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. It offered various RAM options (2GB, 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB) and storage options (128GB or 256GB). The camera setup included a 50 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a 2 MP macro camera, and an 8 MP front-facing camera.

The Redmi 12 also had a 5,000 mAh battery, but with 18W wired charging. The upcoming Redmi 13 is expected to maintain some of these features while potentially offering new enhancements, aiming to provide a budget-friendly yet capable option for consumers.
