Red Magic 9 Pro will Have Flat Display and No Camera Bumps

The arrival of the Red Magic 9 Pro is scheduled for November 23, accompanied by teasers from nubia’s gaming division. The initial teaser showcases the smartphone’s side view, revealing a flat design on both sides—eschewing any curved display or camera protrusion. This image also highlights a cooling vent on the side, a consistent feature in Red Magic’s flagship models over recent iterations.

While specific details about the cameras remain undisclosed, expectations are not set for groundbreaking advancements in a phone primarily targeted at gaming enthusiasts. As per Digital Chat Station, the primary camera is anticipated to sport a 50 MP Samsung GN5 sensor sized at 1/1.57″ and equipped with an OIS lens. Additionally, the ultra-wide camera is expected to employ the Samsung JN1 imager, previously seen in the Xiaomi 14 and iQOO 12, offering a resolution of 50 MP and a pixel size of 0.64um.

Currently, information revolves around the Red Magic 9 Pro exclusively. The existence of a non-Pro version remains uncertain, leaving speculation open on whether nubia will adhere to previous series’ marketing strategies (as with the 8 and 8S) by introducing a pair of Pro variants.
