Realme debuted the GT Neo 5 officially in February last year, with the GT Neo 5 SE following suit in April. Given the customary cadence of smartphone releases, it appears that the time is ripe for a refresh within the GT Neo lineup, and indications suggest that Realme is diligently working on the GT Neo 6 series.
According to the reliably informed Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the GT Neo 6 family is poised to introduce two distinct models initially. One variant is slated to incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, while its counterpart will leverage the prowess of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
Anticipated to feature “1.5K” screens and 100W charging capabilities to complement their “ultra-large” batteries, these devices are projected to offer compelling value propositions with their competitive pricing and robust performance capabilities.
Expectations are high that the base model of the GT Neo 6 series will be priced below CNY 1,999 (equivalent to approximately $277 or €255 at current exchange rates) in the Chinese market. However, it’s important to consider that international availability may incur additional costs attributable to taxes and logistical factors, potentially resulting in a substantial price markup.
Rumors abound that Qualcomm is on the cusp of unveiling the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipsets later this month. Consequently, it’s plausible to anticipate that the announcement of the Realme GT Neo 6 series will follow suit, although sources suggest that these devices may not be the first to debut with the new chipset offerings.

The upcoming Realme GT5 Pro is anticipated as a powerful flagship, yet recent leaks suggest another addition to the GT series. Reports indicate the development of the Realme GT Neo 6, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and an aluminum frame.
Expected to be priced below CNY2,000, approximately $275/PKR77660.50, this marks an attractive price point, especially considering the Qualcomm chip’s capabilities, even though prices for phones in China tend to be lower than in the West.
Initial glimpses of the GT Neo 6 suggest a resemblance to the GT5, which also houses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Intriguingly, the lower-priced GT5 variant, equipped with 150W charging, commenced at CNY3,000 (around $410/PKR115784.74), prompting curiosity about Realme’s strategy to trim costs for the GT Neo 6.
Realme introduced the GT Neo 5 (also known as the GT3 globally) earlier this year, following its predecessor, the GT Neo 3, in the first quarter of 2022. Given the brand’s deliberate pace in launching GT Neo devices, it wouldn’t be surprising to witness the arrival of the GT Neo 6 next year. Presently, attention is focused on the imminent release of the GT5 Pro.

According to the latest information, the Realme GT Neo 6 has been certified in China under two distinct model numbers: RMX3820 and RMX3823. Initially, it was speculated that one model might be the standard Realme GT Neo 6 featuring the Dimensity 9200 chipset, while the other could be a Pro version equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, additional specifications have been revealed by a certification authority, indicating that both models will actually run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, as indicated by the reported maximum CPU frequency of 3.2 GHz.
The main difference between the two models appears to be the battery capacity and purported charging speed. If the information holds true, we can expect a Realme GT Neo 6 variant with a 4,600 mAh battery and the same impressive 240W charging capability as the GT Neo 5, as well as another version with a larger 5,200 mAh battery and 150W charging. Interestingly, according to the posted specs, both variants of the phone have identical dimensions, measuring 163.13 x 75.38 x 8.86 mm and weighing 205 grams.
In addition to the chipset and battery, it is currently believed that the Realme GT Neo 6 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. It is expected to come with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB to 1TB. The main camera is rumored to be a 50MP IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP auxiliary camera. For selfies, there will be a 16MP front-facing camera. Additionally, sources suggest that the GT Neo 6 will include an IR blaster, an x-axis haptic motor, and will ship with Android 13.
With the certification of both models now complete, the official launch of the Realme GT Neo 6 appears to be imminent. We can anticipate further updates by closely following Realme’s social media channels for the official announcement.

Realme made headlines in February with the release of the GT Neo 5, featuring an astonishing 240W fast charging capability. Now, the company is already gearing up for its next series, the GT Neo 6, as evidenced by the certification of two versions in China, namely RMX3820 and RMX3823. Recently, these smartphones have made an appearance on TENAA, providing a glimpse of the new lineup’s design.
The upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 phones will sport a trio of cameras and an extended transparent section. In this iteration, the transparent panel spans from one end to the other, protruding in a similar fashion to the Google Pixel 7 series.
Once the certification process is complete, the regulator will disclose the specifications of the two versions. It is expected that the standard GT Neo 6 will feature a Dimensity 9200 chipset, while the GT Neo 6 Pro may come equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
Both devices are likely to boast a 6.74-inch AMOLED display and a 50 MP primary camera. It remains to be seen whether the chipset will be the main differentiating factor or if there will be variations in the charging capabilities as well. Given their certification, the launch of these smartphones is undoubtedly imminent. For the official announcement, we will closely monitor Realme’s social media channels.
