Francis Wong, the CEO of Realme Europe, has shared a hands-on image of an upcoming smartphone featuring a transparent back. This particular device appears to be a modified version of the Realme 12 Pro+, and Wong has hinted at an imminent launch, likely in limited quantities.

Realme has officially unveiled the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+, both equipped with telephoto lenses, marking a first for the number series. The debut announcement took place in Asia, where both models also boast a luxurious variant developed in collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Ollivier Saveo.
Featuring a 6.7” curved OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 240 Hz touch sampling rate, the 12 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with a 2.2 GHz CPU and Adreno 710 GPU. Maintaining a 5,000 mAh battery from its predecessor, it supports 67W SuperVOOC charging, achieving a 50% charge in 19 minutes and a full charge in 48 minutes.
The main camera boasts a 50 MP sensor with OIS, while the 2x telephoto shooter features a 32 MP Sony IMX709 imager. Other cameras include an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 16 MP selfie shooter. The device runs on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 and offers two memory variants, both with 8 GB RAM. Pricing starts at ($310/€290/PKR86691.50) for the 128 GB version and ($325/€300/PKR90886.25) for the 256 GB option, with an early access sale featuring a discount ($24/€22/PKR6711.60).
The Plus variant maintains a 6.7” OLED panel with a peak brightness of 950 nits and a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 67W charging. Despite the downgrade from its predecessor’s 100W rate, the 12 Pro+ offers a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, coupled with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage options.
The main camera boasts a 50 MP sensor, while the periscope telephoto lens provides 3x optical zoom with a 64 MP sensor and OIS. It shares the 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with the regular 12 Pro and upgrades the selfie camera to a 32 MP Sony sensor.
Running on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0, it comes in Submariner Blue and Navigator Beige, with an exclusive Explorer Red variant for customers in Asia. Pricing starts at ($360/€330/PKR100674.00) for the 8/128 GB version, ($385/€355/PKR107665.25) for 8/256 GB, and ($410/€375/PKR114656.50) for the 12/256 GB option, with an early access sale offering a ($22/€24/PKR6152.30) discount.
