Scheduled for its official unveiling on February 29 at 7 PM local time in Malaysia, the Realme 12+ 5G has been generating buzz since its recent appearances on TENAA and Geekbench. Alongside this debut, Realme is set to introduce the Realme 12 Pro+ specifically tailored for the Malaysian market, intensifying the anticipation surrounding the event.
Realme’s Malaysian division has already offered enthusiasts a glimpse of the Realme 12+ 5G design, showcasing its distinctive features. Diverging from the design of its counterparts, the Realme 12+ boasts a flat profile adorned with a circular island on its rear housing a tri-camera setup, with the primary camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Adding a touch of elegance, the rear panel is enveloped in vegan leather, a departure from conventional materials. The Sunburst Dial, prominently displayed on this circular island, further accentuates the phone’s aesthetic appeal.
While the Realme 12+ 5G’s detailed specifications are yet to be officially disclosed by the company, leaked information from Geekbench has shed some light on its internal prowess. The smartphone is expected to be equipped with the Dimensity 7050 SoC, offering a robust performance. Additionally, according to details on TENAA, the Realme 12+ may support up to an impressive 16GB of RAM, indicating a commitment to delivering a seamless and powerful user experience.
As the unveiling date approaches, the smartphone community eagerly awaits further revelations from Realme, anticipating a comprehensive overview of the Realme 12+ 5G’s features, functionalities, and the unique aspects that will set it apart in the competitive smartphone landscape. Earlier this month, the Realme 12+ made an appearance on TENAA, and today additional key specifications about the phone have surfaced through a Geekbench scorecard. Identified by the model number RMX3867, the phone is equipped with a Dimensity 7050 chipset, the same SoC found in the Realme 11 Pro+. It is anticipated to come pre-installed with Android 14, likely featuring Realme UI 5.0.
The Geekbench scores reveal a single-core score of 958 and a multi-core result of 2,346 for the phone. These figures align with those of the Oppo Reno10, a device we previously tested with the same chipset. Although the Dimensity 7050 may have seemed somewhat underpowered in the Oppo Reno smartphone, the Realme 12+ is expected to be more budget-friendly, potentially making it a more competitive option in the market.
