Earlier today, Realme officially unveiled the Realme 12 in Asia, featuring the Dimensity 6100+ SoC as its powerhouse. Shortly after the announcement, Himanshu Tandon, the country head of Poco Asia, expressed his thoughts on the Realme 12’s pricing strategy, particularly its use of the Dimensity 6100+ chipset at that price point. Tandon pointed out that Poco offers the Dimensity 6100+ in its M6 model.
Tandon suggested that consumers wait for the upcoming Poco X6 Neo, hinting at its imminent release next week. The Poco X6 Neo, which surfaced in leaks earlier this week, is rumored to debut soon. It appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, boasting a 108MP main camera like the Realme 12. However, it is equipped with the Dimensity 6080 SoC, providing a modest increase of 200 MHz to the two ‘big’ CPU cores.
A slight boost in CPU core speed may not be sufficient to justify the hype surrounding the X6 Neo’s launch. However, enthusiasts are hopeful that there may be more surprises in store. Specifications for the Poco X6 Neo include a 6.67-inch 1080×2400 120Hz OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.
Additionally, it is expected to feature a 2MP depth sensor, a 16MP front-facing camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. Powering the device will be a robust 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging.
