Xiaomi is gearing up for the global launch of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, set to be marketed globally as the Poco F6. Anticipation surrounds this smartphone, which is expected to feature a sleek flat display and house the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
Fresh leaks today divulged further specifications, with one standout feature being the impressive 90W charging capability, a substantial leap from its predecessor and a rare find among the Redmi Note and Poco F6 phone lineages.
The display is slated to boast a resolution of 1220p, with Xiaomi reportedly sourcing panels from two different providers to ensure quality. Camera enthusiasts can look forward to a 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor gracing the main rear camera, while the selfie camera is rumored to sport a 20 MP sensor.
Fueling this device will be a robust 5,000 mAh battery. While the 90W charging rate may seem groundbreaking, it’s not entirely unprecedented in Xiaomi’s mid-tier offerings, with select models from the Note family and the Poco F4 GT already supporting this feature. Now, enthusiasts eagerly await Xiaomi’s announcement regarding the unveiling dates for the Redmi Note 13 Turbo and Poco F6.

For some time now, there have been strong indications that the Poco F6 would be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Recently, the Android Headlines team discovered concrete evidence within the HyperOS source code, confirming this speculation.
Codenamed “Peridot” with model number N16T, the Poco F6 appears to be following the footsteps of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, which pioneered the use of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. However, it’s suggested that the Poco F6 might draw inspiration from another Xiaomi model, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which is yet to be officially unveiled.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 represents a hybrid design between the 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3, albeit with some trade-offs, such as the absence of 8K video recording capability. Nevertheless, this chipset seems tailored for devices like the Poco F6, offering flagship-level performance at a more affordable price point. The previous Poco F5 demonstrated remarkable performance relative to its cost, leveraging the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, which outperformed the subsequent Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
Regarding the camera setup, leaks suggest that the primary camera will feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, while the ultra-wide lens will utilize the older IMX355 sensor. For selfies, an OV20B sensor from OmniVision is expected to be employed. Display components for the Poco F6 are reported to be sourced from TCL and Tianma, although specifics regarding display specifications are yet to surface.
Anticipated to be unveiled in April or possibly May, the Poco F6 may coincide with the launch of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo in China. Additionally, rumors hint at the existence of a Poco F6 Pro variant, rumored to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 utilized in the 2023 Pro model.
