Pixel 8 Pro Leak Unveils Tensor G3 Chip Ahead of Official Announcement

Google is set to reveal its Pixel 8 series tomorrow, and although there have been numerous leaks, we’ve got one more for you. M. Brandon Lee from This is Tech Today has shared multiple images of the Pixel 8 Pro in action with the Device Info HW and AIDA64 apps, unveiling detailed specifications about the new Tensor G3 chip.

The Tensor G3 chip boasts a 9-core CPU configuration, comprising a high-performance Cortex-X3 prime core running at 2.91 GHz, 4 Cortex-A715 cores clocked at 2.37 GHz, and 4 Cortex-A510 cores operating at 1.7 GHz. Another noteworthy feature is the inclusion of the Mali-G715 GPU and 12GB of RAM. The Tensor G3 chip is manufactured using Samsung’s advanced 4nm process technology and incorporates the FO-WLP packaging process, promising reduced heat generation and enhanced power efficiency when compared to its predecessor, the Tensor G2.

In addition to the chipset details, the latest leak confirms the presence of a Goodix optical fingerprint scanner integrated into the display panel. The Pixel 8 Pro is anticipated to launch with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen, offering QHD+ resolution and a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate. On the rear, you can expect a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, and a new 48MP ultrawide camera.

On the software front, the device is expected to run on Android 14, and it will be available in Obsidian, Sky Blue, and Porcelain color options. The Pixel 8 Pro is slated to have a starting price of $899 in the United States and £999 in the United Kingdom.
