Oppo is preparing to launch its Reno10 series of upper-midrange smartphones in the near future, following the company’s usual biannual release strategy for the Reno line. The Reno10, Reno10 Pro, and Reno10 Pro+ are expected to be officially announced within the next few weeks.
As the launch approaches, leaks and rumors are starting to surface, offering insights into the upcoming devices. Recently, CAD-based renders of the Reno10 Pro, which can be considered the middle child of the series, have emerged. These renders indicate that the Reno10 phones will feature a new rear design compared to their predecessors, which were released in China last year.
According to the source of the renders, the Reno10 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch display that incorporates a centered hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, as visible in the images. The handset is rumored to have dimensions of 163.2 x 74.2 x 7.9 mm (10.2 mm at the rear camera bump).
The bottom of the device features a speaker grille and a USB-C port, while the right side seemingly houses both the power button and volume buttons. This arrangement is unusual because Oppo has typically placed the volume buttons on the left side in their previous devices.
It remains to be seen if the introduction of the Reno10 series will mark a departure from this convention or if the renders are inaccurate. Only time will provide clarification. Previous leaks suggest that the Reno10 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, which represents a minor update to the Dimensity 8100 chipset found in the Reno9 Pro.
Regarding specifications, the available information is limited for now. However, details about the higher-end model in the series, the Reno10 Pro+, have been more extensively circulated. Rumors suggest that the Reno10 Pro+ will feature a periscope zoom camera, a 6.74-inch curved 1220×2712 resolution display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP main camera equipped with Sony’s IMX890 sensor, a 4,700 mAh battery with 100W charging, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC at the helm.
Additionally, it is expected to offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of storage. These are the current details available about the Reno10 series, with more information likely to emerge as the official launch approaches.
