Earlier this month, renders of the Oppo Reno10 series showcased a new camera design, and now an online video ad has confirmed the presence of the oval island in the upcoming series. The launch date has been revealed to be May 24, as indicated in the video.
Although the video has been taken down, crucial frames were captured before its removal. Additionally, Digital Chat Station disclosed some key details about the Oppo Reno10 and Oppo Reno10 Pro. Both devices will feature portrait cameras with 2x optical zoom and lightweight bodies.
The Oppo Reno10 is expected to sport a 6.7-inch curved display with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It will house a 32 MP selfie camera with an IMX709 sensor housed within a punch-hole cutout. On the rear, it will have a 64 MP main camera with an Omnivision OV64B sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide camera with a Sony IMX355 imager, and a 32 MP IMX709 portrait camera.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno10 will be powered by a Snapdragon 778G chipset with 12 GB of RAM. It will feature a 4,600 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The phone will weigh 180 grams and have a slim profile, measuring just 7.58 mm in thickness.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno10 Pro will offer a slightly larger 6.74-inch display with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels. The refresh rate and front camera setup will be identical to the non-Pro variant, while significant differences will be seen in the rear camera configuration and internal specifications.
The Reno10 Pro will feature a 50 MP main camera with an IMX890 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). The ultra-wide-angle and portrait cameras will be the same as those found on the standard Reno10 model. It will be equipped with a Dimensity 8200 chipset, MariSilicon X NPU, and 100W SuperVOOC charging for the 4,600 mAh battery. The device will have a slim profile of 7.68 mm and weigh 186 grams.
