Oppo has introduced its latest addition to the A-series lineup in China, unveiling the Oppo A2. This announcement comes merely a fortnight following the launch of the Oppo A2X, and it closely mirrors most of the key specifications found in the recently released Oppo A79 in Asia.
The Oppo A2 boasts a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Its front-facing camera has been enhanced to 8MP, while the rear setup features a 50MP primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
Running on the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, the Oppo A2 is paired with 12GB of RAM and offers storage options of 256GB or 512GB. It operates on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 layered on top and is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W charging. Additionally, the Oppo A2 is designed to be IP54 dust and splash resistant.
Available in black, green, and purple color variants, the Oppo A2 starts at a price of CNY 1,699 ($232/PKR66897.20) for the 12/256GB storage configuration, while the 12/512GB model is priced at CNY 1,799 ($246/PKR70934.10). Open sales for the Chinese market will commence in November.
