Just a few hours ago, Motorola introduced the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra foldable smartphones in China, which are now set to launch globally with a small twist. The Razr 40 will be marketed as the Razr, while the Razr 40 Ultra will be known as the Razr+ in North America.
These devices are the same as the ones previously mentioned in our initial announcement. In the Eurozone, the Razr 40 will be priced at €799, while the Razr 40 Ultra will cost €1,199. The Razr 40 Ultra is already available today in Europe and will gradually be released in Latin America and Asia in the coming weeks.
In the United States, the Razr+ with 256GB of storage will be released on June 23 through various channels, including Motorola, Amazon, Best Buy, AT&T, T-Mobile, Google Fi, Optimum Mobile, and Spectrum Mobile. The price will be $999, and pre-orders will begin on June 16. The Viva Magenta color variant will be exclusive to Motorola’s online store and T-Mobile.
In Canada, the Razr+ will also be available for pre-order on June 16 and will see a full release on June 23 through Motorola’s website and select carriers and national retailers. The price in Canada will be CAD 1,299.99.
The Razr will be launched in North America “in the coming months,” and the price has not yet been revealed. It will also be introduced soon in selected markets across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Additionally, Motorola has unveiled the Motorola Edge 40 Viva Magenta edition for Europe, featuring the Pantone Color of the Year, Viva Magenta. This version is essentially the same device but with a new and unique color option.
