Motorola had previously hinted at the upcoming release of the Razr 40 series earlier this month. However, the company has now disclosed the precise date, which is July 5. This date is ten days from now and a month after the initial teaser.
Motorola’s local division has updated the web pages for both the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra, indicating the launch date. As of now, there are no pre-orders available, so the prices for the two foldable phones have not been revealed either. However, interested individuals can register their email addresses to receive updates.
Additionally, there is a dedicated landing page for the Razr 40 series on Amazon, but it does not provide any pricing details. For reference, the 2020 Razr 5G was priced at PKR419300. However, the US market saw a significantly higher price of $1,400/PKR385146.72 for that model, whereas the Razr 40 Ultra will only cost $1,000/PKR275104.80. Hence, it is expected that the 2023 model will be more affordable.
Naturally, the standard Razr 40 should be even cheaper. Interestingly, while the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is already available in some regions, the Razr 40 is yet to be released there. A Czech retailer has mentioned July 21 as the shipping date for the standard model.
