Moto G64 5G Seen on Google Play Console

Motorola has been diversifying its smartphone lineup, particularly within the Moto G family, with recent additions such as the Moto G Power 5G (2024) and Moto G (2024). Additionally, the company has been teasing the imminent release of its Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion devices, potentially set for unveiling as early as April 3. Amidst this buzz, another Moto G model appears to be quietly making its way to the market.

The Motorola Moto G64 5G recently surfaced on the Google Play Console, revealing some key specifications. Reportedly, it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset—a 5G-enabled, 6nm chip introduced in 2023, essentially a rebranded version of the Dimensity 930. The chipset features two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, accompanied by six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz, and an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. The Moto G64y is listed in two variants—one with 8GB of RAM and another with 12GB.

While the exact display size remains undisclosed, it is confirmed to offer a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, resulting in a reported pixel density of 400 ppi. Notably, the device image provided reveals a punch-hole selfie camera on the display, with the volume and power buttons positioned along the right-hand side.

Interestingly, a few days ago, a purported Moto G64 5G with identical specifications was also spotted on the Google Play Console but has since been removed from the listing. It is speculated that the listing may have been updated to reflect the new name of the device. Further insights into how this new model differs from its predecessor, the Moto G54 from last year, remain to be seen.
