Lava introduced the Blaze 5G smartphone in October 2022, and a 6GB RAM version was released in February this year. The company is now set to release an updated version called the Blaze 1X 5G, which has already been listed on Lava’s official website, even though it has not been officially announced.
The Blaze 1X 5G features a 6.5-inch 90Hz 720×1600 LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, a 50 MP primary camera with two additional decorative shooters, one 2 MP and one VGA, an 8 MP front-facing camera, 6GB of RAM (with support for 5GB of “Virtual RAM”), 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card, and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support (although it comes with a 12W charger).
The phone runs on Android 12 from 2021, which is a disappointment. It has a fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures 165.3 x 76.4 x 8.9 mm and weighs 207g. The Blaze 1X 5G will be available in Glass Green and Glass Blue colors.
Compared to the original Blaze, the Blaze 1X 5G has a slightly smaller screen (6.5″ vs. 6.52″) and faster charging capability (15W vs. 10W), which seems like a puzzling release. The price of the Blaze 1X 5G has not been announced yet, but it’s expected to cost around the same as its predecessor, which currently sells for about INR 12,000 for the 6GB RAM version.
