Lava is set to launch the Agni 2 5G smartphone, which will feature the newly-unveiled MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC. This chip is essentially the same as the Dimensity 1080, but with a new name. The Agni 2 will be the first smartphone to feature this chip.
Although the phone has not been officially released, leaked information reveals that it will have an AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint sensor, Android 13 operating system, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 50 MP main camera on the rear.
The original Agni was launched in November 2021 and was powered by the Dimensity 810. Compared to its predecessor, the Agni 2 is expected to offer a significant performance boost, with doubled storage, and an improved camera. The original Agni had an LCD screen and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the Agni 2 will feature an AMOLED display and an embedded fingerprint sensor.
