Today, the iQOO brand hosted an event in Asia to unveil the Neo 7 Pro smartphone. This device features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 120W charging, and a 50 MP main camera. If these specifications and the design seem familiar, it’s because this is the international version of the iQOO Neo7 Racing, relaunched for a global audience.
During the event, the brand, owned by vivo, heavily promoted its “dual chip power,” which includes a dedicated independent gaming chip. This chip optimizes gaming performance by extrapolating frames, allowing even apps limited to 90 fps to be displayed at 120 fps on the iQOO Neo 7 Pro. The GPU rendering technology reduces power consumption while delivering consistently high frame rates for uninterrupted gaming. However, the technical details of the chip were not disclosed on stage.
The phone boasts a 50 MP main camera equipped with a Samsung GN5 sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide-angle shooter, and a 2 MP macro snapper. For selfies, it features a 16 MP sensor housed within a punch-hole cutout.
The 6.78″ AMOLED screen offers Full HD+ resolution and promises a brightness of 1300 nits. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, 2160 Hz PWM, and is HDR10+ certified. The only difference from the Neo7 Racing is the user interface – the iQOO Neo 7 Pro runs on Funtouch 13, based on Android 13.
One notable aspect of this phone is its impressive 120W charging capability, which can charge the 5,000 mAh battery from 0 to 50% in just eight minutes. Additionally, it incorporates the largest-ever vapor chamber in an iQOO smartphone to ensure low temperatures during performance-intensive tasks or fast charging, thus preserving the device’s longevity.
The iQOO Neo 7 Pro will be available for purchase starting July 15 on the company’s website and Amazon Asia. It will be offered in two color options: Fearless Flame, a vegan orange leather version, and Dark Storm, a Blue-Black gradient with a plastic back.
The prices for the different memory variants are $425/€390/PKR116634.75 for the 8/128 GB model and $465/€425/PKR127612.14 for the 12/256 GB model. Early bird discounts and bank offers can reduce the cost by $36/€33/PKR9879.65 during the first three days. Additionally, iQOO will provide a two-year warranty with an additional one year for customers who pre-book the smartphone.
