According to a recent rumor, Apple is purportedly planning to introduce new color options for the iPhone 16 Pro, potentially alongside the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Reportedly, these new additions will include Space Black and Rose variants, expanding the palette beyond the existing white and gray offerings.
As part of this color expansion, it’s speculated that the current Blue Titanium option available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be replaced in the upcoming generation. The rumored Space Black hue is anticipated to resemble the iPhone 14 Pro’s color of the same name, supplanting the Black Titanium variant.
Moreover, the Natural Titanium shade, previously referred to as gray, is expected to persist, while White Titanium will make a return in a revised form, described as more of a ‘silver white’ akin to the iPhone 14 Pro’s silver color.
While the source behind these claims has a track record of accurately predicting the launch of the purple iPhone 14 Pro color, it’s essential to exercise caution, as the accuracy of these predictions remains unconfirmed. Only time will tell whether these speculations are corroborated by subsequent rumors and leaks.
Interestingly, a recent separate rumor hinted at potential color options for the iPhone 16 Pro, suggesting Desert Titanium and Titanium Gray, which could align with the aforementioned Rose and Gray hues, respectively.

The iPhone X brought about a significant transformation in Apple’s design approach by eliminating the Home button and a major portion of the top bezel, enabling the screen to expand vertically. This departure marked the end of the previous 16:9 screen aspect ratio, with 19.5:9 becoming the favored alternative. The current iPhone 14 series continues to utilize this aspect ratio, and the upcoming iPhone 15 will also follow suit. However, the subsequent iteration may deviate from this pattern.
According to analyst Ross Young, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will adopt a taller aspect ratio, although the exact specifications (possibly 20:9 or 20.5:9) are not yet confirmed. The display sizes will slightly increase from 6.1″ and 6.7″ to 6.2X” and 6.8X” respectively.
It’s important to note that these discussions solely pertain to the Pro models. The standard iPhone variants will likely receive their respective updates with a time lag – a Dynamic Island feature this year, followed by a 120Hz refresh rate in 2025, and potentially a new aspect ratio at some point.
Based on Young’s predictions, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, succeeding the 16 series, will introduce an enhanced design for the Dynamic Island. This will involve relocating the Face ID system beneath the display, leaving only a small punch hole for the front camera. While this adjustment will allow for more vertical space, it may make accessing the Island feature more challenging.
