Infinix launched the GT 10 Pro last August as its first gaming smartphone. Today, the brand has unveiled its successor, the Infinix GT 20 Pro, at a global launch event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Infinix GT 20 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Running on XOS 14, Infinix promises two Android version upgrades and three years of security updates for the device.
A standout feature is the Pixelworks X5 Turbo gaming display chip, making the GT 20 Pro Infinix’s first dual-chip smartphone. This chip uses Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation (MEMC) to boost frame rates from 60 FPS to up to 120 FPS, ensuring a smooth gaming experience and enhanced picture quality. The stable frame-rate engine ensures consistent performance during gaming, achieving a native frame rate of up to 120 FPS with “ultra-stable operation” for an hour.
Infinix claims that popular games like Free Fire, Call Of Duty (COD), and PUBG can reach up to 90 FPS, while Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail can hit 120 FPS. Additionally, the GT 20 Pro features an Esports Mode for professional gaming scenarios and a VC liquid cooling system that’s 73% larger than its predecessor, improving thermal conductivity by 66%. The Phase Change Material (PCM) sheet is also 68% larger.
The Inifnix GT 20 Pro sports a Cyber Mecha Design, appealing to gamers with its turbine blade pattern, and features customizable RGB LEDs on the rear panel, supporting eight color combos and four lighting effects for various gaming scenarios and notifications.
The device boasts a 6.78″ 144Hz FullHD+ LTPS AMOLED display with 1,300 nits peak brightness and a 32MP selfie camera. The rear camera setup includes a 108MP primary camera with OIS and two 2MP sensors. A 5,000 mAh battery with 45W charging powers the phone. Other features include 5G connectivity, USB-C, NFC, an in-display fingerprint reader, dual speakers tuned by JBL, DTS, and Hi-Res Audio support.
The Infinix GT 20 Pro will be available in Mecha Orange, Mecha Silver, and Mecha Blue in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations. Pricing and sales details will be announced during local launches. Infinix also revealed that the GT 20 Pro will be the official gaming phone for the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL), taking place in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central, and South Asia.

Last August saw the release of the highly acclaimed Infinix GT 10 Pro, and it appears that the brand is wasting no time in developing its successor, which is poised to make its official debut sooner than anticipated. This assumption is reinforced by the fact that the device has already garnered a slew of certifications from reputable entities such as TUV, EEC, and Wi-Fi Alliance.
Moreover, keen-eyed enthusiasts have spotted a prototype of the upcoming GT 20 Pro within the Geekbench online database, shedding light on its impressive performance capabilities. According to the benchmark listing, the device achieved an impressive single-core score of 1,005 and a multi-core score of 3,311 in Geekbench 6 testing. Notably, the GT 20 Pro is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s cutting-edge Dimensity 8200 SoC, paired with a generous 12GB of RAM in the prototype configuration. However, upon its official launch, it is anticipated to offer a variant with 8GB of RAM as well. Both variants are expected to boast ample storage space, with a capacious 256GB onboard.
Running on the latest Android 14 operating system, the GT 20 Pro promises a modern and intuitive user experience. Additionally, its TUV certification provides insights into its battery capacity, with reports suggesting a robust 4,900 mAh battery. However, it remains unclear whether this capacity is rated or typical, with speculation suggesting it may be marketed as a 5,000 mAh battery.
The Infinix GT 10 Pro garnered widespread acclaim and popularity within the specifications database, raising expectations for its successor. As anticipation mounts for the official unveiling of the GT 20 Pro, enthusiasts are eager to see if it can replicate the success of its predecessor or carve out its own distinct identity in the competitive smartphone market. Will it surpass the original’s achievements, or will the GT 10 Pro remain a standout in the brand’s lineup? Only time will tell.
