Huawei has kicked off its summer product lineup in Europe with the launch of the P60 Pro and Mate X3. However, the company’s busy schedule continues as it prepares to unveil more devices at an event in China on May 18.
While the official post on Weibo didn’t disclose the name of the new tablet, rumors suggest it will be called the Huawei MatePad Air. Several models, including a Wi-Fi only version (DBY2-W00) and two 4G-enabled versions (DBY2-AL00 and DBY2Z-AL00), have already received certification.
According to Chinese publication ITHome, the tablet is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 888 chipset and an 8,200mAh battery supporting 40W fast charging. Pricing is speculated to fall between the MatePad 11 (2023) priced at CNY 2,200 and the MatePad Pro 11 (2022) priced at CNY 3,500. Although these details have not been confirmed, teasers leading up to the event are anticipated to provide more information.
The Summer Product Launch event on May 18 is also expected to showcase the new Huawei Watch 4 series, along with the latest MateBook laptops. Today’s focus was on the European launch of the P60 Pro and Mate X3, while next week’s event will unveil additional exciting products.
