Oppo’s fast-paced Reno series is gearing up for another refresh, with an announcement rumored for June. The lineup will include at least the Oppo Reno12 and Reno12 Pro models. The specs of the Reno12 have been leaked by the reliable Weibo poster, Digital Chat Station.
According to the leak, the Oppo Reno12 prototype in development is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 chipset, complemented by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone is set to feature a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP f/2.0 “portrait telephoto” camera with 2x optical zoom. Additionally, the Reno12 will boast a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging.
One of the main highlights of the Reno12 will be its thin and light design, paired with a curved screen. Previous leaks suggest that this screen will have a “1.5K” resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Reno12 is also expected to come with an IP65 certification for dust and water resistance, adding to its durability.
An image recently created by another Weibo account, Fixed Focus Digital, purportedly shows the overall design of the upcoming Reno12, though it is not a leaked render. As we approach the rumored launch date, more details are likely to emerge, giving us a clearer picture of what to expect from Oppo’s latest offering.
