A while back, Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, confirmed that the upcoming Phone (2), set to be released in July, will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. More recently, Pei revealed that the Phone (2) will come with a 4,700 mAh battery, which is 200 mAh larger than the battery in the Phone (1). Now, the company has disclosed the screen size of the Phone (2).
The screen of the Nothing Phone (2) will be 0.15 inches bigger than the display of the Phone (1), measuring 6.7 inches diagonally. Although the resolution hasn’t been revealed by Nothing, it is expected to be FullHD+ like the panel on the Phone (1).
In addition, Nothing announced that the Phone (2) has a carbon footprint of 53.45 kg, which is over 5 kg less than that of the Phone (1). The brand also stated that the Phone (2) incorporates three times more recycled or bio-based components compared to the Phone (1), and the retail package is free of plastic.
Furthermore, in order to enhance the Phone (2)‘s sustainability, Nothing has pledged to provide three years of Android updates and four years of security updates for this Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered smartphone.
