Motorola launched in Europe, as teased on X with the tagline ‘Intelligence Meets Art’. This event will likely introduce a trio of smartphones, expanding the Motorola Edge 50 Series. The first member of the series, the Edge 50 Pro, has already launched in Europe and is confirmed to debut in Europe. Key specifications include a 6.7-inch 144Hz OLED display, a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide lens.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and houses a 4,500mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Edge 50 Pro will be priced at €699. Next is the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, a more budget-friendly option. It features a 6.7-inch display, a 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging, and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. It has a dual rear camera setup and is expected to cost around $300.
The Motorola Edge 50 Series, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, is anticipated to come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, a ‘lite’ version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It will boast an impressive camera array with three 50MP sensors: a wide-angle, a 12mm ultrawide, and a 72mm 3x periscope zoom. The front will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. This model may be marketed in the US as the Motorola Edge+ 2024 or Edge Ultra 2024, with an expected price of $999. These new additions highlight Motorola’s commitment to blending advanced technology with artistic design, promising a diverse range of features to cater to different market segments.
