Scheduled for its official debut on March 5, Nothing’s upcoming smartphone, the Phone (2a), is generating considerable buzz as leaks continue to surface, offering a sneak peek into the device’s design. As the unveiling date approaches, new renders have emerged, showcasing the mid-range smartphone in two distinct colorways – a sophisticated gray/black variant and a pristine white option.
Following Nothing’s established trend, the Phone (2a) adheres to the brand’s tradition of offering dual hues for its devices, featuring both a lighter and a darker option. The renders vividly highlight the distinctive dual-camera ‘eyes’ on the rear of the phone, giving it a unique aesthetic appeal. Notably, the absence of wireless charging is apparent, with no visible round coil akin to its predecessors, the Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2).
While the screen view is partially obstructed in the images, the renders suggest minimal and symmetrical bezels – a characteristic upheld by Nothing’s design ethos. This attention to detail, even at a lower price point, reflects the brand’s commitment to delivering a refined user experience. In the white version of the phone, the power and volume buttons contrast, contributing to a subtle panda-like appearance.
Nothing has officially disclosed that the Phone (2a) will be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, a customized variant tailored specifically for Nothing’s requirements. According to preceding rumors, the pricing for the 8/128GB configuration is anticipated to start at €349, while the 12/256GB model is expected to be priced at €399.
As the leaks intensify the anticipation, the Phone (2a) appears poised to offer a harmonious blend of innovative design and affordability, cementing Nothing’s position in the competitive smartphone market. The confirmed features and leaks collectively build anticipation for the official unveiling, promising an exciting addition to Nothing’s smartphone lineup.
